I'm Lucy, and I run Naturally Dogs

I have two energetic pups, Wooster my Airedale terrier, and Oscar my rescue springer x collie. Together they keep me entertained and busy!

Having spent 10 years working in the film industry on set as a script supervisor I decided it was time for a change and to learn something new. At the beginning of 2018 I began my journey to retrain as a dog trainer and behaviourist. So far this has involved doing some fantastic courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and attending some amazing conferences and seminars with other science based reputable organisations. At the beginning of 2019 I spent four months working part time at the amazing Glendee Dog Rescue with their challenging but wonderful dogs.

Dog training is currently an unregulated industry meaning anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. As I like to do everything properly I am ensuring that I get the best possible education with accredited, science based organisations to gain a professional qualification.

Having the dog walking business is a great way for me to spend time with and learn from these fantastic animals, they're all individuals! I love watching the dogs play, interacting with the environment and using their noses. Learning about dog training using force free, positive reinforcement and science based methods means I only have your pets best interest at heart.

I'm fully insured through Pet Business Insurance, DBS checked and trained in canine first aid. I am also a member of the Pet Professional Guild and Pet Professional Network, both organisations representing pet industry professionals who are committed to science based force free training and pet care.

Below are a list of courses and training events I have attended. I would like to note that none of these are formal qualifications or enable me to be able to deal with any issues in a training capacity. They do however contribute to my overall learning, understanding and continuing professional development.
